Joseph Lockyer

Joseph married a girl from Horton called Sarah. I do not know the date of the marriage, but it is likely to have been in about 1870, when Joseph was 27 years old. The family is recorded in the 1881 census, living at Wyke Farm in Gussage All Saints. All their children were born in the village, which is quite close to the Horton Inn.
