The Cranborne Lockyers

Donald Richard Hugh Lockyer

Donald married a girl from the Peare family. This is an old West Dorset family name, but variations of it are found throughout the south. Donald served in the Hampshire Regiment during the last six months of the First World War and then, after the war, he worked as a butcher in Fordingbridge. The couple had two sons, shown below. Sadly, John William died from leukemia in 1964. He is buried in Fordingbridge cemetary.
